2024 Drexel theater - Drexel Theatres. The Drexel Theatre opened December 25, 1937 and remained open until the 1970’s, when it closed. Jeff Frank bought the Drexel Theatre and opened it as an art house in 1981, and it has remained open since then. It was a single screen theater when Frank bought it but was changed to a triplex in the early-1990’s.
